Most EXPENSIVE BBQ of My LIFE! Franklin Barbecue & Salt Lick, Austin TX

So barbeque ignitors are as important as the meat that we are going to cook. With the proper tools to start a decent flame we would not be able to have a decent open fire to cook our chops, steaks and kebabs. There are no flame grills or stove top grills that are coming out of the market today but the character and flavor of a flame grilled steak cannot be duplicated by stove top grills or whatever. Charcoal gives better flavor to the meat perhaps because there is less oil used but unlike gas grills, it will take you a really long time before you can set it up, get the fire going and cook the barbecue. In fact, it will tale about 20 to 30 minutes just to set the fire. Another disadvantage is that charcoal grills can t be turned off at your will. This is also one of the favorite sauces when preparing turkey. Nippy Pineapple Sauce This sauce is especially great in keeping up with a Hawaiian theme of a barbecue party. Although pineapple preserves are often use to make this sauce, some scrimp and use lemon instead. Hoisin sauce- this is used if you want you barbecued meat to have an oriental taste to it. Herbs like chili powder, garlic, paprika, cayenne are just some of the usual ingredients that can be found in a dry rub. Some even try making their own dry rubs by mixing different herbs. One tip that you can definitely use is to mix a strong flavoring with a subtle one. This will make for a truly unbeatable combination. Little do people know that the sauce used adds magic to the meal and the person will feel happy when everyone who attended the event is full. When people buy meat from the grocery, this all tastes the same. The difference is in the recipe used and how it is cooked that makes the cooking of one person different from the other. The person may add a greater percentage of one of the ingredients and reduce the other. Some people even add a little alcohol or use a liquid smoke product. Barbecue sauce is not only used during the cooking process. There are some who even use this as a condiment when the meat is served on the table.
