How Reflexology Works and What It Can Treat

What Is On A Reflexology Foot Map Reflexology has been known to contribute to the treatment of most illnesses by relieving tension and stress. Medical science has also claimed internal organ failures and other kinds of illnesses are often stress related. So how does reflexology work? Reflexology uses a map of the hands and feet, the map indicates the body parts and the organs to which the hands and feet points represent. This is known as that deep rest for a person, which is considered as in contrast with the stress response. If the stress will make your mind and body un-stable, the relaxation stage on the other hand will ensure that your body and mind will be on the right balance. And aside from those physical effects of relaxation, it is shown as well that this will increase the person's energy and focus and can also help alleviate pain. It is a form of massage that does not use any other instrument but the hand. Some reflexologists though use oils or talc to ease the tension in their own wrists and arms after exerting so much energy in the session. The oils used in most reflexology sessions are olive oil, sesame oil, aroma therapy oils and menthol camphor oils. For example you will be made to cover anatomy and physiology and you will be asked to study the history and the many practices of reflexology. You will also be asked to cover business and professional ethics. Other than these, there are certain requirements that should be satisfied as well before you will be given your national certification. Similar to the pressure points of the testicle and ovary, it is also not present in the reflexology map of the foot. For the females, this is especially helpful in times of pre menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea, where the uterus and ovary is under extreme stress. There is a tight feeling of tension within the body as if the uterus is being choked. The toes represent the head from the neck upwards. The heart and the chest area are represented by the ball of the foot. The internal organs are represented by the arch of the foot and the sole represents the lower back or spine and the intestines. It is believed that the area corresponding to the body part is directly connected by the veins that run through the body.
