What makes it confusing though is often the different level of expertise of the practitioners. The effectivity of the Feng shui reading will often depend on the depth of knowledge of the Feng shui consultant that you employ. A Feng shui consultant who can provide readings and cure in a whiz may not often be the right consultant. For this, there are two very obvious and distinct line of thought whether it is in the treatment of the space or just about anything else, the European design and the oriental way. In designing gardens and the general landscape western thought will be inclined on a more utilitarian path. Lands has to be used, reshaped, maximized and in many cases result to artificiality. In a nutshell, Feng shui is the result of the persistence of man in trying to live with his environment through harmonizing with it so that he gathers the positive forces and influences of nature to improve his wellness. Not a bad idea at all. In fact it almost sound like most of the precepts in all the major religions except that it is not a religion. For some, bedrooms are mostly places to rest and sleep. If this were the case soft color that is conducive to rest like blues, soft greens and pastel colors could be chosen. Others though work better in the bedroom than any other place in the house. For this other colors apply. For some, like the younger members of the household, a more cheery and vibrant color will be better suited. One exception though is that to remember always that the whole point of Feng shui is the comfort and well being of people as they live in harmony with their surroundings. It would then only be practical not to adopt a color that one is not comfortable with. This is more so if the color serves to aggravate the people to whom these zones are intentioned. There are eight compass points and each push an influence that is unique to each other. The points are The North, northeast, East, southeast, South, southwest, West and northwest. The portion of the house that faces north is the place where music room, symbols of your aspirations and career and everything that speaks of personal and growth and development are best represented and placed.
