The Difference Between Homeschooling, Online Schools, and Remote Learning

A question of social interaction One of the things that many feel puts the homeschooling program to a disadvantage is the fact that studying inside the home de-emphasizes social interaction, which children also need in order to function well in the real world. This is especially essential with children who are at the stage when they are still developing their social skills and are just beginning to communicate. With home schooling, parents will also be able to save a lot when it comes to expenses. They no longer have to worry about getting schooling supplies for their children as required by most traditional institutions. Home school supplies are bought according to need as opposed to requirement. Aside from required learning tools, the parents are the ones responsible for providing other home schooling supplies such as pencils, notebooks, paper and the like. There are various reasons why it is done so, especially to exceptional cases in the nature of work, and the situations of life one has been drawn into. Examples of individuals that need apply a home schooling curriculum are those in the entertainment world, such as in the movies, television, theatres, and advertisements when there's no definite time in photo or filming footages. This means that there can be more unstructured learning exercises such as visits to zoos or museums. Cons Lacking in social interaction One of the downsides of homeschooling program is the fact that it lacks the social component, which teaches the child to interact with other people. This is especially needed during the stage when the social and communication skills of children are just developing. Education set a high hierarchy in the rules of laws that each individual, or citizen should enroll in a public school if he reaches a certain school age. This is a general policy to each citizens of any nation, except however, where one's choice is to go elsewhere of his afford and desire, such as in private schools, foundations, and non-government organizations' learning institutions. All parents who opt for this choice at their discretion do not need to send the child to formal schooling. 2. Home Study Program (HSP) and Charter Schools of California - Parents have the option to enroll their child to the nearest public school for a home-based study program, where the school will assign a teacher who will facilitate and check the student's home-schooling on a monthly basis.
