Time constraints Although time is rarely a factor in homeschooling because of the lack of a structure, it only applies to the children. It will be time consuming for the parents, some of which have to leave their work to go full time in teaching their children. Remember that you have to be with your homeschooling child all through out his or her lesson. It happens in institutions where classrooms are gaping open to all possibilities of worse vices like drugs, alcohol, illicit sex, pornography; formation of clandestine groups or fraternities; being influenced with religious perversions and cults. Confining a teen to high-school home schooling is a very smart but tough decision a parent can do as best option for a child, especially if the family is influential in the community. This is why, online schools are preferred by a lot of adults who may want to pursue further studies but cannot do so in a traditional setting because perhaps they already hold jobs or they have other responsibilities that prevent them from learning in a traditional setting. Just like in a regular school, online schools have set curriculums and lesson requirements that an online learner needs to accomplish to earn an online degree. Below are some of the advantages of homeschooling: Flexible and dynamic programs Freedom is perhaps at the heart of the homeschool program. Children are allowed to set their own pace in learning the lessons. There are no time pressures to learn a certain task or to keep up with other people. The lessons can also be tailorfitted to the needs of the children. Actors, especially children characters are left to study with tutors, and thru correspondence schools, where materials are sent to their homes in form of packages and mails for self- study, with a domestic teacher, or the parents themselves. The home schooling curriculum opens opportunity for some parents to act fairly against any risk on drugs, travel, and social elemental influences in school environments today, and find themselves in direct management of their children in the home. Common reasons are problems with mental ability, emotional immaturity and social incapability. Still, there are a lot of things that you have to consider before putting your child to homeschool. 1. Look into the pros and cons Before embarking on the homeschooling journey, it is important that you study all aspects of homeschooling including the advantages and disadvantages not only for the child but also for the whole family.
