Making Time Management Work for You: Crash Course Business - Soft Skills #10

When attending seminars, the attendee has very little control on the choice of the speaker especially if the time management course is sponsored, not so with time management books. There is a wide array of these books online and in your bookstore. As with any other bookstore, you can scan the contents and have a peep at the book with previews and can make a selection depending on what suits your personal preferences. One of the best benefits of gaining time management skill is that it allows the person to gain quality time for his leisure. Gaining time for the self to indulge on things that one enjoys most is to be sought. Being tied down so much to work because there is no other option results to so many negative repercussions, one of which is the inability to really do the things that one would enjoy most. As reviewing them may need time, I would just offer a few things to spot and remedy them immediately. There are generally two issues that effect us most in the workplace. One is the way things and events affect us, the other is how we control them. - There is no such thing as organized clutter. Clutter is clutter and no matter how it is viewed, it is still disorganized. Time management is making the most of our time so that we deal with efficiency the things that we do not want to do but have to, and be left with enough time to do the things that we enjoy. We exist only in the present, the now. It has to be enjoyed to the fullest extent that we can. Maybe this is why it is called a present. When he goes down to his normal realities, the same problems and distractions, the same habits that have been formed are not totally done away with. It needs conviction to keep reinforcing the self. For some it will be touch and go for a while resulting in succeeding or quitting. Time management at work is making time in pursuing the goal. If you allocate 4 hours each day for socializing and doing other personal things like jobs, attending extra curricular activities, writing letters, checking on e-mail etc you will still have 28 hours for the week that could be spent further on study periods or your personal time. That still leaves you with almost four hours a day.
