Wedding rings!
by: Mike Yeager
Wedding rings have many different combinations available today. Various types of metals and stones are for the choosing. Couples are choosing from “traditional” to “contemporary” styles, whatever wedding ring fits their personalities.

Bands

Wedding rings have many metals available for the bands. Traditional styles often use yellow gold. Yellow gold seems to be the most popular of the metals selected. Yellow gold often complements the couple’s other jewelry, and fits their budgets as well. White gold is also a popular alternative, particularly for those who prefer “less shine” to their jewelry.

Wedding rings made from two-tone metal bands are increasingly popular. The two-tone metal bands are a combination of yellow and white gold, often in a distinctive pattern mix. Two-tone wedding bands and diamond rings make it easy for a couple to “have it all” when they can’t decide between yellow and white gold.

Wedding rings may also come in a Celtic pattern. The Celtic pattern looks like an inter-twined ropes or chains. The Celtic pattern is available in many colors, such as white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, or varying combinations of other metals.

Wedding rings may be made from another popular metal of titanium. While titanium is significantly more expensive (often 10 times more than traditional yellow or white gold), titanium will last a lifetime. Titanium’s features include long life of the metal, minimal (if non existent) chance of damage/breakage/bending, and good resistance against tarnishing.

Wedding bands may also be made personalized. Some wedding bands may have a “sculpted” look. The couple’s names are engraved in raised block letters on the outside of the band. Personalized rings are a lot more than engraved names, initials, or wedding dates on the inside of the band. Personalized wedding rings provide many options and many varying combinations.
